TACKLING THE SUMMER HEAT
Sunday, March 1st, 2009Summer is the most hated season for people living near the equator. Many people die due to extreme heat waves in countries such as India. But if we follow certain procedures, we can avoid them. Learn to dress accordingly. Wear light-coloured clothes, if possible cotton ones. Most importantly, keep yourself hydrated. Drink a minimum of 4 liters of water during summer. Include fresh juices if possible because they help to keep your skin moist. If you are venturing out, carry an umbrella or wear a cap to prevent your body getting hot. Stay indoors during daytime as much as possible and go out only at the later part of the day.
